    Infected by disease – bacteria, virus, or fungus can damage the leaves, making them yellow or spotty, so less photosynthesis happens.
    Aphids (insects) – suck sugars from the plant, meaning less energy for growth.
    Not enough light – chlorophyll breaks down and the plant can’t photosynthesise properly.
