Use a pipette to measure 25 cm³ of ammonia solution and put it in a conical flask.Add a few drops of methyl orange indicator to the flask.Place the flask on a white tile Fill the burette with sulfuric acid and note the starting level.Add the acid to the flask bit by bit, swirling gently to mix.Add the acid slowly near the end point, until the indicator just changes color.Record the final level of acid in the burette.Repeat the experiment to get consistent results (concordant results).Mix equal volumes of sulfuric acid and ammonia solution using the results from the titration. Leave out the indicator and pour this solution into an evaporating dish.Heat the solution until crystals start to form (point of crystallisation).Leave the solution to cool, then filter the crystals. Finally, leave the crystals to dry.
