    Nose – Hairs trap dust and microbes.
    Trachea/Bronchi – Mucus traps microbes, and cilia move the mucus out.
    Stomach – Acid kills bacteria.
    White blood cells – Make antibodies and antitoxins, and they eat microbes.
    Plants:
    Cell wall – Tough barrier that stops microbes getting in.
    Waxy cuticle – Another tough layer that blocks microbes.
    Dead cells/bark – Fall off and take pathogens with them.
    Antibacterial chemicals – Kill bacteria.
    Fungi:
    Antibiotics – Kill bacteria.
