  1. Urine moves through the test stick.
    If the HCG hormone is in the urine, it sticks to special antibodies in the reaction zone.
    As the urine moves up the stick, the HCG (with the antibody attached) sticks to other antibodies in the results zone.
    If HCG is present, a blue line appears here (positive result).
    Other antibodies that don’t attach to HCG move on to the control zone.
    They bind there and make another blue line to show the test is working properly.
