  1. Fuel cells have several advantages over chemical cells, especially for use in spacecraft. Once they are set up, they don’t need any maintenance and can keep working as long as hydrogen and oxygen are supplied. In contrast, chemical cells have a limited lifetime and need to be replaced or recharged. This can take up valuable space and weight on the spacecraft.
Another advantage of fuel cells is that the only product is water. This water can be used by astronauts for drinking, which is useful in space. Chemical cells, on the other hand, stop working when their reactants are used up, and the voltage they produce decreases over time.
However, fuel cells also have disadvantages. Hydrogen and oxygen must be supplied, and hydrogen is difficult to store because it’s a gas and is flammable. The tanks for these gases take up space and are heavy to transport. Also, fuel cells are more expensive to manufacture than chemical cells.
    Conclusion:
choose the fuel cell because it works for longer, doesn’t need replacing, and the water it produces is useful for the astronauts. Even though it is more expensive, the long-term benefits make it the better option for space travel.
