    There is a maximum forward force that the motor can provide. As the car speeds up, air resistance (drag) increases. Eventually, the air resistance becomes equal to the forward force. At this point, the resultant force is zero, so the car can’t accelerate anymore and travels at a constant speed – this is called terminal velocity.
