1. To improve the experiment, add excess sodium sulfate solution instead of just a few drops. This makes sure more lead sulfate is formed because the reaction can happen more completely.

   Then, filter the mixture instead of pouring off the liquid. This stops any lead sulfate from being lost during separation.

   After filtering, wash the lead sulfate to remove any impurities.

   Finally, place the lead sulfate in a warm oven to dry it properly.
