  1. When trees are cut down, animals might move to nearby areas where there’s still good habitat.
    Seeds can get carried back into the cleared area from forests that are still there.
    Over time, plants and trees start to grow again, giving food, shelter, nesting places, and habitats for animals.
    Animals can then come back from other forested areas.
    If enough time passes, the area can recover, and the old forest can help by providing plants and animals to recolonise it.
